Mini Sessions
FAQ
How long do mini sessions last?
Your mini session lasts 20 minutes in one location.
Who are mini sessions good for?
They are good for those families that want updated family photos but don't necessarily need or want to spend too much time required with a full photography session. Our fall mini-sessions also make it easier on those who groan when they hear the word "family photos" (Dads and teenage boys, I'm looking at you here.) 15-20 minutes for a photoshoot, no problem!!
They are also good for busy seniors who are juggling homework, sports, jobs, and social commitments. Mini sessions can also be used for maternity announcements and engagment sessions.
How many people can be in my mini session?
Mini sessions are good for 1 senior 5 family members. Each additional family member is $25.
However, if you have a large family, contact me about special pricing for large group sessions.
How will I receive my images after my mini session?
Mini sessions come with an online proofing gallery so you can share the link with family members to purchase your digital images.
How many images come in a mini session?
Each mini session comes with 6 digital images and the option to purchase more or purchase prints as well.
What if I am late to my mini session?
Mini sessions are booked back to back and must start and end on time. If you are late for your mini session, we will still end at the right time so I can move onto the next scheduled sesssion.
Can I change clothes during my mini session?
Mini sessions are short...just 20 minutes. Full outfit changes are not allowed to maximize the time we have together.
You can however, add a scarf, hat, or jacket to change your wardrobe up a bit.
What happens if it is really rainy or windy on the day of my mini session?
In the case of rain, high temps, and windy conditions, we will need to reschedule. I will be in contact with you if these conditions will be present and we will reschedule so that you look the best on your day of your session.
Why am I signing a contract?
A contract helps set proper expectations for both of us and lets you know how your images may be used. As the photographer, I own all the rights to your images and may choose to use them on websites and social media for promotional use. Minors must have a contract signed by a parent or legal guardian.
What should my family wear?
Best tip... be comfortable in whatever it is you pick!
Have a patterned dress that you love to wear? Great, take colors from within the pattern and bring those colors into your family members outfits.
Layers and textures look great and accessories are also good for adding little splashes of color.
Your family doesn't have to be too matchy-matchy to produce a great photo!
Instead, just choose a basic color palette and go from there!
When should we arrive at our mini session?
Because we book these fall mini-sessions back-to-back, there is no wiggle room.
If you are running late I unfortunately cannot give you extra time during your session since it would push back each session following your own session.
Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early, that way we can be sure to get all the photos you were hoping for of your beautiful family!
Can I order prints from you?
Yes. I have several print and digital packages to choose from. All prints and products come from the nation's best professional labs.
Digital images will be kept for up to one year of your session date. You may place a reprint order anytime within that year.
If you lose your digital files, you may request copies.
There is a $75 archival fee for retrieving your images and putting them on a new USB.
